Today, one in three women around the world experience violence. The scale of the problem remains alarming: violence against women exists in every country, culture and community and not enough is done to prevent violence, and when it does occur, it often goes unpunished.
On November 25th International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women raises awareness and also seeks to remove the silence surrounding these acts of violence against women.
