Christian BLAUERT - Chief Executive Officer

Mr. BLAUERT joined the YILPORT Holding management team as CEO in 2016. Yilport currently operates 20 ports and 6 dry terminals across 8 countries, the majority of which are in Europe. Born in Germany and achieving the degree as Diploma Mechanical Engineer Christian BLAUERT started his career in 1994 as an engineer, project manager, and consultant. In 1998 he joined the kick-off project team for the HHLA Container Terminal Altenwerder in Hamburg. In 2003 Christian Blauert became managing director of the HHLA Container Terminal Burchardkai GmbH (CTB). In 2011 he joined the CMA CGM group as Vice President Terminals and managed the subsidiary Terminal Link. From 2013 to 2016 as a consultant and high-level interim manager, he was involved in diverse port, terminal and logistics projects. So in total Mr. BLAUERT gained the experience of over 20 years within the world of ports and terminals.

 
Yoshiaki SUEMATSU - Chief Technology Officer

Mr. SUEMATSU joined the YILPORT Container Terminal in September of 2011 as a maintenance department manager and promoted to CTO of YILPORT Holding in 2015.

He was born in Japan where he completed his associate degree in industrial engineering at the Kobe Technical College of Kobe Japan in 1968. Since 1968, He worked in the areas of Turbo machinery, Material Handling equipment, Main ship engine, Bridge construction and Offshore Rig at the MES (Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co. company. In that time he worked as manager of Technical production, Quality Assurance and Site installation division. In that time He attended to work in PACECO/ESPANA as Project Director during 1999-2002. His advanced technology fields are Steel material with Heat treatment and Gear technology.

 
Erhan CILOGLU - Chief Marketing Officer

Erhan CILOGLU was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1978. He received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Kocaeli University in 2000. Mr. CILOGLU joined the YILDIRIM Group in July of 2012 as a business development manager and was promoted to CMO of YILPORT Holding in 2014. He has direct responsibility for sales, marketing, commerce and customer relations for Yilport Holding portfolio in 8 countries 20 terminals in a global scope.

Mr. CILOGLU’s career has begun in 1999 at Toyota as a part of the supply chain logistics division. In 2003, Mr. CILOGLU worked in the logistics industry associated with port operations and shipping where he had the responsibility of managing logistics operations. Mr. CILOGLU worked in sales, project management, field actions, marketing, customer relations, information technologies under a structure focused on the development and operation of existing processes in different types of sectors such as; automotive, white goods, electronics, construction, food, FMCG, textiles, iron, and steel.

 
Mark WOOTTON - Chief Information Officer

Mr. WOOTTON joined the YILPORT Holding management team as CIO in 2016. He was born and educated in South Africa and has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering as well as an MBA. He started his career as a management consultant working for Andersen Consulting. He was then the IT Manager for SA Clothing and following that the IT Operations and later Executive Manager for IT at Transnet Port Terminals. He has been involved for several years in the port industry specifically in terminal operations and automation systems.

 
Rafael Sapiña GARCÍA - International Business Development Director

Mr. Garcia was born in Spain where he completed his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering at the Politechnical University of Valencia in 1983. He then received his master's degree in port management and multimodal transport from the IPEC - Universidad Pontificia Comillas - Valecia in 1997. Since then, Mr. Garcia has worked at Condeminas where he worked with shipping agencies, logistics, and port operations; Martico, where he worked with shipping agents, logistics, and port operations; and Trasmediterranea – Aucona where he worked with the shipping lines and shipping agencies, as a commercial manager. Between 1998 and 1999, Mr. Garcia worked at the at Valencia Port Authority as a commercial manager.

He continued his career as a management assessor at Grimaldi Logistics, a owners representative at MSC - Baleares, and finally as a director for shipping and port operators at Fundación Valenciaport between 1999-2013. Mr. Garcia has lectured at the IPEC Universidad Pontificia Comillas, where he taught port management and multimodal transport. Currently, he works as the international business development director of YILPORT Holding Inc.

 
Cihan AKIN - Port Integration Executive Director

Mr. AKIN joined YILDIRIM Group in 2012 as a Business Development Executive. His role as a Port Integration Executive Director is extending and integrating Yilport Holding strategy, communication, centralized process, technology and other key areas to all YPH companies and departments. He is also responsible for pre and post-integration process of newly acquired YPH companies. His other area of focus is standardization of processes, technology, and management platforms across the YPH companies. Mr. AKIN holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and has more than 20 years of experience with privately held companies in Silicon Valley, CA both as an engineer and business executive.

 
Elcin UYGUN - Global Human Resources Director

Born in Istanbul, Elcin UYGUN received her Bachelor of Science degree in International Business and Marketing from Johnson & Wales University, USA and Master’s degree in Business Administration from Boston University, USA. While studying her Master’s degree, she also worked as a Research Assistant in International Economics courses. During her time in the states, Elcin UYGUN worked in automotive and healthcare sectors in General Electric and Herb Chambers Infiniti Group specifically in sales and customer care positions before she returned to her home country in 2005. In Turkey, after she worked in McCann Erickson and Linde group as a Marketing Specialist and Key Account Executive, she has changed her career direction towards human resources and training & development. There, she worked in Sabanci University, HSBC and Avon Products specifically in the areas of institutional development, career development and training. At Ozyegin University, she worked as a Consultant and a Projects Coordinator at the start up the Sectoral Education & Development programs between the university and the respective companies. In 2014, she joined YILPORT Holding as a Talent & Organizational Development Manager and still continues working there as a Global HR Director. Elcin UYGUN speaks English and Turkish fluently and learning Spanish. She received ICF accredited coaching certificate in 2013 and still provides business coaching and mentoring when needed. Among Elcin’s expertise area are followed as: organizational development, talent acquisition and management, performance management, training and development, career planning and employer branding. 

 
Murat AKBUDAK- Global Finance Director

Murat Akbudak, a graduate in Business Administration from Istanbul University, continues his Master's program in Financial Economics at Bilgi University.

Murat Akbudak, who started his career as a Financial Markets Expert in Thomson Reuters in 2008, has had the opportunity to closely monitor the global financial markets during his time here. In addition to working with all the domestic bank treasures and brokerage houses, he received the Best Growing Country Award in Central Eastern Europe (CEE). He worked as a Financial Analyst at TSKB and contributed to Turkey's leading energy projects afterward. After the transfer to Eczacıbaşı Securities as an Equity Research Analyst, Murat Akbudak provided market reports and valuation service for international investors in the energy and cement sectors.

Since joining Yildirim Group in 2012, he has played an active role in both the valuation and financing projects of all the purchases of the group as Project & Acquisition Finance Senior Manager. In 2015, financing on the mining side was awarded by EMEA Finance for Best Project Finance Project Deal in CEE and Best Natural Resources Deal in EMEA. Murat Akbudak who promoted to YILPORT Holding as Global Finance Director in 2016.

 
R. Cem GOKTAS - Global Operations Director

Mr. Cem GOKTAS joined the YILPORT company in 2012. Born in Kocaeli, Turkey in 1982; Mr. GOKTAS has bachelor’s degree Public Administration. Over the years, Mr. GOKTAS worked as a Container Planning Chief, Operations Manager, Global Logistics Center Manager and Global Operations Director respectively. Managing a group of central departments serving multiple terminals in different countries within the role of; Operations Planning, Berth Planning, Data Control, Customer Support and TOS Deployment on a global scale. Mr. Remzi Cem Goktas, promoted to the position of Global Operations Director effective as of 2017. He is responsible for providing operational standards, guidelines and documentation, Global Logistics Center, Audit and Analysis, continuous improvement, HSSE standards and terminal development in entire regions of YILPORT Holding.

 

Regional Structure

Uygun DEGIRMENCI- Turkey Region General Manager

Mr. Uygun DEGIRMENCI joined YILPORT Holding management team as Turkey Region General Manager in 2017. He is responsible from entire terminals and subsidiary companies among Turkey.

Born in 1971 in Kirklareli, Uygun DEGIRMENCI is married and has two children. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Anadolu University, and Master degree on Logistics Management from Okan University.

In 1996, he started his career as an Operation Manager at Incolab Turkey and in 1999, he worked as Operation Supervisor at Armaport.

In 2000, he continued his career as Operation Manager, Port Operation Manager and executive board member responsible from Borusan Port respectively. Uygun DEGIRMENCI had been active in many projects such as Black Sea Petroleum Exploration Project (by BP and TPAO) in 1999 and several Borusan projects such as Borusan Port project, Port Development Project, Phase 1 Investment Project, Navis Implementation Project and Lean Six Sigma Project between 2005-2015 respectively. He also completed Leadership Development Program, Faculty of Leadership and International Terminal Planning and Management Programs during his career at Borusan.

 
Eryn DINYOVSZKY - Nordic Region General Manager

Eryn DINYOVSZKY joined YILPORT in 2014 and is currently the General Manager of YILPORT’s Nordic Region. This comprises of YILPORT Gavle bulk and container terminal, Stockholm Nord Rail Combi terminal, YILPORT Oslo, and YILPORT Logistics. She is tasked with growing the volume base, consolidating functions to lower costs bases, introducing new technology, and further developing theYILPORT’s Northern business portfolio. 

Prior to joining YILPORT, Eryn worked for Abu Dhabi Terminals as Business Development Manager focused on international business expansion. Also in her tenure with ADT, she held the role of Transition Project Manager where she lead a project team with the responsibility of implementing Khalifa Port, a 2.5 Million TEU green field semi-automated terminal, and transferring the business from its historical city central location to the newly developed industrial clustered location.

Eryn also worked for the A.P. Moller group for 10 years in both liner operations and at APM Terminals in various roles and countries.Her education is rooted in the maritime sector as she holds a B.S degree in Marine Transportation from California Maritime Academy and an MBA in Shipping, Offshore, and Finance from BI Norwegian School of Management. 

 
Rachid BAHO - Iberia Region General Manager

Rachid BAHO joined YILPORT Holding as a Regional General Manager of YILPORT Iberia in 2017.

Rachid BAHO received his Bachelor’s degree in Law from University of Antwerp and a Master of Science degree in Maritime Sciences from the University Ghent in Belgium.

Mr. Rachid BAHO started his career in 1991 and worked in various operational positions at Maersk Netherlands, Noord Natie and Katoennatie in Belgium till 1999. The following years, Mr. Rachid BAHO worked as a Terminal Manager at P&O Ports Antwerp and GMP Le Havre. In 2004, he continued his career as a Project Director at P&O Ports Belgium where he managed the startup of the first automated terminal of DP World within budget and on time. Then, between 2006 and 2014, he worked as a Chief Operating Officer (COO) at DP World Antwerp Gateway, Belgium. Before joining YILPORT Holding, he continued working as a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Madagascar International Container Terminal Services Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI). There, he remained remarkable footprints with proven facts and figures in commercial, engineering & operations as well as management systems and quality assurance.

Rachid BAHO has a considerable depth and breadth of experience in the ports and logistics sectors.
