OverviewOslo is located on the Sjursøya peninsula, the southeast side of Oslo, with a direct connection to the main highways. As the major import hub of Norway, the container terminal offers direct services to all key Northern European ports as well as the United Kingdom.
The terminal delivers high productivity and high-quality services with its modern infrastructure and equipment. Combining empty depot management and a container freight station next to the dock, it also provides low-cost solutions for value-added container-related services.
Building on YILPORT's global platform and in-house expertise, Oslo continues to lead the way in upgrading operations, streamlining processes and automated manual transactions, and launching new web services. All these enabled the Oslo terminal to reach record productivity levels never seen before in Norwegian terminals.
ONE OF THE MOST ECO-FRIENDLY TERMINALS IN THE WORLD
As part of YILPORT commitment to environmental sustainability and its dedication to the city of Oslo, YILPORT has made significant progress in improving the environmental impact of its operations.
Key initiatives include the installation of 2 ultraquiet ship-to-shore gantry cranes from Kone Cranes and 8 zero-emission rubber tire gantry cranes from Kalmar. Additionally, the deployment of new Kalmar reach stackers with emission- and noise-reducing K-technology and investments in automated gate systems designed to reduce truck idling times and emissions, have positioned Oslo as one of the most eco-friendly terminals in the world.
