The multipurpose port is situated at the center of the world-renowned banana farms, with an annual production of 5 million tons in the hinterland. The 50-year + 10-year concession agreement is set to transform Puerto Bolívar into the largest and the most advanced terminal on the Pacific Coast of Latin America, marking the biggest Turkish investment in Ecuador and Latin America. CoreX plans to have 5 phases to increase the capacity of Puerto Bolívar to 2.5 million TEU in response to growing demand, making ongoing investments in infrastructure and modernization.

With its strategic location and deep-sea infrastructure, Puerto Bolívar serves as the home terminal of choice for liners operating along the Southern Pacific Coast. The terminal, with all the natural advantages as a seaport, is desirable for handling the largest vessels capable of transiting the canal.
